JONES COUNTY, Miss. (WHLT) – One person was seriously injured in a crash in Jones County.

The crash occurred on Highway 84 East near Charlie Green and Mill Creek Roads around 6 a.m. on Wednesday, June 12.

Jones County Fire Board officials said one person was seriously injured after being ejected from a four-door Chevrolet sedan. During the collision, the vehicle hit a tree.

The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment. Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP) officers will investigate the cause of the crash.
