Cell phone man turns himself in for Gaston Street murder: police

MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — A man turned himself in to police for a May homicide on Gaston Streetaccording to the Mobile Police Department.

An MPD news release says Gregory York, 55, turned himself in to the Mobile Metro Jail on Wednesday.


On May 16, officers were called to the 300 block of Gaston Street for reports of a shooting, according to the release.

Officers found a man, now identified as 45-year-old Christopher Robinson, outside the home suffering from a gunshot wound.

Robinson was taken to hospital, where he later died.
