18 people injured in explosion during wedding ceremony in Pakistan

Islamabad, June 30 (SocialNews.XYZ) Eighteen people were injured in an explosion that occurred during a wedding ceremony in Kurram district of Pakistan’s northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Sunday, police said.

The incident occurred when unknown persons threw hand grenades during the ceremony where a large number of people had gathered, police said, according to the Xinhua news agency.




Police reported that the attackers fled the scene after the attack.

The injured were taken to a nearby hospital, three of whom are in critical condition. Police have cordoned off the area and an investigation is underway.

No group or individual has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.
