Eminem Announces Release Date for ‘The Death of Slim Shady’ Album

Shady is back, he’s back again. Eminem has revealed the release date of his 12th studio album, Slim Shady’s Death (A blow of grace).

The album is set to drop on July 12, and Em made the announcement on Monday (July 1) in true Slim Shady style, dropping a terrifying trailer depicting the birth of a demonic baby.

“OH FUCK!!! SLIM SHADY’S DEATH (COUP DE GRÂCE) 7/12,” Eminem wrote under the clip.

In the terrifying trailer, a woman is seen giving birth to a baby. It’s a terrifying situation because the baby doesn’t breathe until the doctor gives it a few slaps to wake it up.

However, when the child opens his eyes, he discovers that they are completely black and that he is not safe, and that he is dealing with a different type of creature.

A newborn watches in horror as his tongue sticks out and horns sprout, while everyone in the room screams, “Oh shit!” “Houdini” soundtracks the outro, and the album name and release date are officially revealed.

“I haven’t been this excited about an album in a while,” one fan replied on X.

The first half of July is a busy one for Eminem, who drops his second single and follow-up to “Houdini” on Wednesday (July 3) with “Tobey” featuring Detroit natives Big Sean and Babytron. A visual for the Tobey Maguire-inspired track, directed by Cole Bennett, will drop on Friday (July 5).

“Houdini” was a chart success for Eminem, with the lead single earning him his highest Hot 100 chart position of the decade, debuting at number 2 on the Billboard Hot 100.
