Pedestrian and driver taken to hospital after crash on A15 at Northorpe near Bourne

Two people were taken to hospital after a car hit a pedestrian.

Emergency services were called to the crash, which happened at 3.40pm on Friday (June 28) on the A15 at Northorpe, near Bourne.

The incident involved a pedestrian (a teenage boy) and a car.

Both the boy and the driver of the car were taken to hospital.

The A15 was closed in both directions between the A151 at Bourne and The Horseshoe pub in Thurlby until emergency services responded to the incident and traffic reopened at 5.35pm.

A section of road in Northorpe remained closed until 12.30pm the following day while downed live wires from a road sign were repaired.

“Inquiries into the circumstances of the collision are ongoing,” a Lincolnshire Police spokesman said.
