A Lawrence, Michigan, woman was hospitalized after she crashed her car to avoid hitting a deer.

The accident happened on Wednesday, July 3, around 7:40 p.m. near Decatur Road and Fosdick Street in Volinia Township.

The 31-year-old lost control of his vehicle, drove up an embankment and overturned, landing in a bean field.

Despite the accident, she managed to exit the vehicle on her own and suffered only minor injuries.
